Terms of Service
The rules of using Truesaid. Effective April 30, 2026.
Summary
This is the short version. The full terms are below — they're binding, but this summary captures the spirit.
- You own your testimonials. What you upload (conversations) and what's generated (testimonials, excerpts, verification pages) belongs to you. We just process it.
- We can't help if you misuse Truesaid — uploading conversations you don't have a right to use, or publishing things you shouldn't, voids the service. See "Acceptable use".
- Subscription billing is monthly via Stripe. Cancel anytime. Refunds are at our discretion (we usually grant them on goodwill); EU consumers retain their statutory withdrawal rights — see section 7.
- The service is provided "as-is". Truesaid does its best, but we don't guarantee the testimonials will close every deal. Your results depend on your work.
- If we mess up, our liability is limited to what you've paid us in the past 12 months. Standard for SaaS.
1. Parties & agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between:
- You (the "User"): the natural person or legal entity using the Service.
- Lorcabase FZCO ("Truesaid", "we", "us"): the operator of truesaid.com, registered at DSO IFZA, IFZA Properties, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (VAT 105004214000003).
By creating an account or using the Service, you accept these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
2. Account
- You must provide a valid email address. Sign-in is via magic link — no passwords.
- You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country if higher) and legally able to enter into binding contracts.
- You're responsible for activity on your account. Don't share access; instead, set up a separate account per person.
- You can delete your account at any time from the dashboard. Deletion is permanent and immediate.
3. Acceptable use
You must not use Truesaid to:
- Upload conversations you don't have a right to process (e.g., chats stolen from someone else's device, or chats whose author has expressly forbidden their further use).
- Publish testimonials that identify a client without that client's consent (use hidden-name or initials mode if you don't have explicit consent).
- Misrepresent or fabricate testimonials. Truesaid's verification chain exists to make fabrication impossible — circumventing it (e.g., forging an integrity-passed file, injecting fake messages, tampering with the chat export before upload) is a material breach of these Terms.
- Spam Truesaid's authentication, generation, support, or public endpoints.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate the Service in ways that violate normal use, including but not limited to bypassing rate limits or impersonating other users.
- Use Truesaid in violation of your professional body's advertising rules (bar associations, medical councils, financial-services regulators, etc.) or in ways that infringe applicable law.
- Upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing, harassing, hateful, or that contains malware.
We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. Suspension is reversible (data is preserved); termination is permanent.
4. Your content, your IP
- You retain full ownership of the conversations you upload and the testimonials Truesaid generates from them.
- You grant Truesaid a limited, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to process your content for the sole purpose of providing the Service: generation via Anthropic's Claude API, storage in Cloudflare D1, verification page rendering, embedding on surfaces you publish to (your public profile, widget, OG cards), and aggregation of integrity / metering signals required to operate the Service.
- This license ends automatically when you delete the content or your account.
- You represent that you have all the rights necessary to upload each conversation and to publish the resulting testimonial in the configuration you choose (full name / initials / hidden).
5. Truesaid's IP
- The Truesaid name, logo, software, prompts, design system, verification chain logic, and all related materials are owned by Lorcabase FZCO.
- You may use the Truesaid verification badge ("Verified by Truesaid") on the testimonial outputs you publish — that's the entire point of the Service. Don't use the brand in ways that imply endorsement of your specific services beyond what the verification page actually states.
- You may not remove or obscure the Truesaid attribution from the verification page.
6. Subscription & billing
- The Free plan includes up to 3 verified testimonials and 1 embeddable widget. No card required.
- The Pro plan ($19 USD / month, plus VAT where applicable) includes unlimited testimonials and embeddable widgets, subject to fair-use limits described on the Pricing page. Billed monthly via Stripe.
- Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing cycle until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the customer portal; access continues until the end of the current billing period (no pro-rata refund for the unused portion).
- Beta period: while Truesaid is in beta, plan limits, pricing, and features may change. We'll give existing subscribers at least 30 days' email notice of any material change and where commercially feasible let them keep their current plan and price for the duration of any continuous subscription.
- Goodwill refunds are not automatic but are usually granted for legitimate issues (e.g., the Service was unavailable for an extended period, you were charged in error). Email support@truesaid.com or use the support page.
- Failed payments are retried automatically per Stripe's default cadence. After repeated failure plus a reminder, the subscription is downgraded to the Free plan; data is preserved.
7. Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)
If you are a consumer resident in the EU/EEA (i.e., you are not subscribing in the course of your trade, business, craft, or profession), you have the right to withdraw from a paid subscription within 14 days of placing the order, without giving any reason, under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (Directive 2011/83/EU).
- To exercise this right, send a clear statement (e.g., a letter sent by post, fax or email) to support@truesaid.com within 14 days of subscribing. You may use the model withdrawal form from Annex I of the Directive but it is not mandatory.
- If you withdraw, we refund all payments received from you for the cancelled subscription within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal notice, using the same payment method you used to pay (no fees).
- Express request to start before the withdrawal period ends. By starting to use the Pro plan immediately after subscribing (e.g., generating a testimonial that consumes the Pro plan's included usage), you expressly request that we begin performance during the withdrawal period and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once the Service has been fully performed (Art. 16(a) CRD), or that we may charge you for the proportion of services already supplied at the moment you communicate your withdrawal (Art. 14(3) CRD).
8. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that:
- Violate the Acceptable Use rules in section 3.
- Fail to pay (after a reasonable grace period and reminder).
- Attempt to harm the Service, its users, or third parties.
- Are subject to a binding legal order requiring suspension.
You may terminate at any time by deleting your account from the dashboard. Termination is immediate; data is purged per the Privacy Policy retention table.
9. Verification chain & what it claims
Truesaid's verification chain proves three things, no more and no less:
- The source file passed integrity checks (CRC, ZIP signature, DKIM where applicable for emails).
- The polished testimonial was generated by Anthropic's Claude with prompts that forbid invention or paraphrasing beyond what the source actually says.
- The verbatim excerpts shown on the public profile and verify page are 100% literal extracts from the source file.
What the verification chain does not claim:
- That the factual claims the client made in the chat are objectively true (only that the client expressed them).
- That you are the only person who could deliver the work the client praised.
- That past results predict future outcomes (regulatory disclaimers may be required by your professional body and are your responsibility).
- That a non-redacted client name was published with the client's consent — that consent is your responsibility under section 3 + 8 of the Privacy Policy.
10. Service availability
We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uptime. Truesaid runs on Cloudflare Workers — a globally distributed edge network — but outages, maintenance windows, third-party subprocessor issues (Anthropic, Stripe, Resend), and force majeure events (natural disasters, war, civil unrest, governmental actions, large-scale internet failures) can temporarily affect the Service. We don't offer SLA credits on the Pro plan in this beta phase; if extended downtime materially affects you, contact support@truesaid.com and we'll evaluate goodwill remedies.
11. Disclaimer & limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that testimonials generated will produce any specific commercial result.
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Truesaid is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption.
- Truesaid's total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you've paid Truesaid in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) €100.
- Truesaid is not responsible for how you use the testimonials it generates — including any regulatory, professional, defamation, or contract consequences in your industry.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law (e.g., statutory consumer rights, gross negligence, or wilful misconduct).
12. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Lorcabase FZCO harmless against any third-party claims, damages, costs, and reasonable legal fees arising from:
- Your use of the Service in violation of these Terms.
- Content you upload or publish through the Service that infringes a third party's rights (privacy, IP, defamation).
- Your failure to obtain a client's consent before publishing a testimonial that identifies them.
- Your failure to comply with regulatory obligations applicable to your profession or industry.
This indemnity does not apply to consumer users to the extent it would be invalid or unenforceable under mandatory consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction.
13. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, excluding conflict-of-laws provisions. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of habitual residence grants you additional rights or a different forum.
EU/EEA consumers may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform as a non-binding alternative to litigation.
14. Changes to these Terms
We update these Terms when our practices change. Material changes are notified via email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you don't accept a material change, you can cancel your subscription and / or delete your account before the change takes effect, with no penalty.
15. Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement: these Terms + the Privacy Policy form the entire agreement between you and Truesaid regarding the Service.
- Severability: if any clause is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
- No waiver: our failure to enforce any clause is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
- Assignment: you may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them to a successor in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice.
- Notices: we may send notices to your account email; you may send notices to support@truesaid.com.
